Credit Card Payments No Longer Available from 1 October 2026.
From 1 October 2026, the payment options available through DEFT will change. Macquarie Bank, the banking provider for Owners Corporations managed by MY Stratacare, is updating its payment services to focus on fast, secure, and fee-free payment methods. As a result, card payments will no longer be available through DEFT.
The payment options available to owners are listed below:
• PayID®, fee-free payments via mobile or internet banking using your-deft-reference-number @deft.com.au. You can set this up at DEFT Payment systems | DEFT PayID.
Note: PayID payments that are made on non-business days will settle the next business day. Some banks may hold PayID payments as part of their security measures.
• BPAY® – pay by mobile or internet banking using our DEFT Biller Code: Use your DEFT reference number as the Customer Reference Number.
• deft.com.au – make one-off or recurring direct debits (from your bank account).
• Post Billpay – pay in-store at Australia Post via eftpos or cheque. You’ll need the barcode found on your levy notice.
To prevent late payments: If you currently have scheduled card payments set up to run on or after 1 October 2026, please familiarise yourself with the alternative DEFT payment options mentioned above and start making payments via an alternative method before this date, to ensure your payments continue uninterrupted.
Any card payments scheduled after 1 October 2026 will be cancelled automatically.
